What is wrong with the Indian society of today?

People don't even think what they are posting. The message is received, they just forward it without giving a second thought whether it is correct or not? I would just give two examples for blind forwards by Indians

1. Around 15th Aug and 26th Jan one message is circulated without fail. Call India as Bharat because India stands for - Independent National Declared in August . When I first read this post I really felt like touching the feet of person who created this horrendous lie. But more than that I wondered how educated people blindly forwarded such lies. It seems the Britishers knew in 16–17 century itself that they will grant freedom to Bharat in August and therefore they formed the East INDIA Company in 16–17th Century.
2. You must have seen this picture circulating on social media. Statue of Unity in India asks Statue of Liberty - How is condition of Liberty in your country? SOL replies back to SOU - same as condition of Unity in your country. Again people blindly are posting and forwarding this message without any knowledge of why it is called Statue of Unity. Sardar Vallabhbhai had merged many princely states with India and thus created a United India. To respect him for this it is called Statue of Unity. It has nothing to do with Hindu Muslim Unity!

Dear Indians, please think before you forward or post anything on social media. It not only shows the lack of knowledge about India but also potrays the Nation in bad light.

Edit 1 - To all those Intellectuals who feel the 2nd one is right, don't bother to comment. I have given many replies in comments section, please read them. If you are still not ok with it move on.
